DAY 1:

7:00 am. We start our journey toward the Colca Valley with a pick up from your hotel. We head along the highway towards the Colca Valley, crossing the Lake Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve where we can see alpacas, llamas and vicuñas.
We make a stop at the high point of our journey, Patapampa, also known as the Mirador de los Volcanes, where at 4,910 meters of altitude there are spectacular views of the snowcapped volcanoes Ampato, Sabancaya and Hualca Hualca to the west, as well as Mt Mismi to the north, which has been confirmed as the source of the Amazon River.
Heading down into the Colca Valley, we make another stop at the Antahuilque lookout point, where there are great views of the impressive agricultural terraces of pre-Incan origin.
There are also stops in the villages of Yanque and Maca, where we can appreciate the beauty of the colonial church.
2:00 pm. We arrive to the Granja del Colca restaurant, which is located five minutes from the Cruz del Condor and is surrounded by beautiful scenery. Here it’s often possible to enjoy the majestic sight of condors gliding above the canyon.
We enjoy a sumptuous lunch at the Granja del Colca
5:00 pm We arrive to Cabanaconde and check in to the Kuntur Wassi hotel.
7:00 pm We have a delicious dinner at the hotel.

Day 2:
Cabanaconde – Arequipa

6:30 am – 7:00 am Breakfast at the hotel.
7:30 am We head towards the world famous Cruz del Condor lookout point in the Colca Canyon, where we stay around 45 minutes to admire the spectacular canyon scenery and appreciate the majestic flight of the Andean condor.
11:00 am In Chivay we can send an hour enjoying the medicinal hot springs of La Calera.
12:00 pm A fulsome buffet lunch in Chivay.
Our next stop is Toccrapampa, at 4,000 meters above sea level in the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve, where we can watch the herds of alpacas and llamas grazing in the picturesque high-altitude wetlands.
We can also see a range of bird life including flamingos, Andean ducks and ibis, as well as birds of prey such as falcons and eagles.
6:00 pm We arrive back in the center of Arequipa.
